European Construction Products Regulation (CPR)

Dear Customer

On 1 July 2013, the previously valid Construction Products Directive (CPD 89/106) was superseded by the Construction Products Regulation (CPR 305/2011).

The most important change was undoubtedly the new obligation to draw up a Declaration of Performance (DoP) for each product with a CE marking. This replaced the previous Declaration of Conformity. Manufacturers are now obliged to issue a Declaration of Performance, which, alongside all other relevant information, states the product's performance characteristics with reference to the relevant harmonized technical specification (harmonized EN standard or ETA).

The key purpose of a Declaration of Performance is to provide customers and applicators with the means of comparing the various products available on the market using a set of general, clearly defined and measurable properties. This then enables them to select the product best suited to their particular requirements.

Marine Equipment Directive MED 2014/90/EU

Dear Customer

Since 18 September 2016, the MED 2014/90/EU applies. If a wheel mark labelled Sopro product shall be installed on a ship, it is necessary to comply with the associated regulations and to carry the relevant Declarations of Conformity. The documents „MED Declaration of Conformity“ can be found at this Link. A declaration of conformity extended by batch numbers is available on request.
